GO JUMP ! I DID !

It was somnolent evening but something awakening about it though. Amidst the jeering noise of honks and beepers, my mind meanders. I was steering through the traffic. I just then had ripped the road at 60 kmph on my Dio. I had made a point to put something on the blog every month. June end was fast approaching. I had had no chance to sit down and think for a while. However, this time I thought it had to be different No Space for “polished thoughts”.

Yes, “Polished thoughts” I prefer to call so. Every time I would invariably force my esteemed pride to sacrifice the thought process and channelise through the online thesaurus constantly trying to restructure and rephrase the sentences to get the context right!

I would probably do to it next time again (ha...ha), but this it had to be real.

I had dived into the middle of nowhere, cutting through ruff moist wind, feet strapped, dangling in mid air 140ft above the ground upside down… I was still trying to come back to ground zero. It was just couple of minutes from where it ended. I was still in euphoria of seeing the world up side down. No way could I articulate the experience. I tried hard to explain with as many adjectives that could probably recur on my brain cells then; I had the blood rush into my face and gleaming pink. With the sense of complete ecstatic triumph, I was walking towards my car. I was flashing this yellow colored certification for my insanity. Which Reads,

GO JUMP! I DID!

“THIS IS TO CERTIFY ------------ JUMPED OFF A HIGH BRIDGE WITH NOTHING BUT AN ELASTIC BAND TIED TO HIS/HER ANKLES. TO HIS/HER CREDIT, THIS WAS DONE WITHOUT ANY THOUGHT FOR HIS/HER JOB, FAMILY FUTURE, LOAN REPAYMENT OR MOBILE PHONE”

This man from the crowd (must have been standing there for a while and watching) asked me – Why did you do it? What did you get out it? I just blurted out “sheer ecstasy and thrill” It sounded like best words, I could pick from my vocabulary then. He just smiled and walked. I probably was not in the frame of mind to be attentive to his expressions. I was still rejoicing the 15 second of thrill in my life worth 600 bucks!!!

Nevertheless, this evening as I recall my adventures on Sunday and of course the Man from the crowd. Why did I do it? What did I gain out it?
